How do I get to DTU?

Due to road work and light rail construction, several bus routes have been rescheduled. We recommend checking "Rejseplanen" for updated information.

 

What are the ticket prices?

  • Dinner and party (students): 340 DKK
  • Dinner and party (employees): 450 DKK
  • Party only (students): 230 DKK
  • Party only (employees): 230 DKK

There is a limited number of tickets.

When and how can employees buy tickets?

The ticket sale for employees will open date will be announced early 2025 and end on date will be announced early 2025 (or when all tickets are sold). Look out for info on DTU Inside. The ticket sale will be in Danish.

Employees can buy tickets for themselves + one companion.

When and how can students buy tickets?

The ticket sale for students will open on date will be announced early 2025. The ticket sale will be in Danish.

Each student can buy one ticket for himself/herself and one ticket for a companion, and max. 10 tickets in one purchase (up to 5 students and 5 companions).

How will I receive my ticket?

You will receive your ticket by e-mail.

What if I have not received a confirmation e-mail?

If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail shortly after your purchase, please write to aarsfest@dtu.dk to get help.

What if I am late for the ticket purchase?

As there are only a limited number of tickets and many people wants to attend they get sold out quickly. Therefore it is not possible to buy tickets after the dates and times in this FAQ.

You may be lucky to find another DTU employee or student who wants to sell their ticket via the Facebook event for DTU Commemoration 2025.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to buy a ticket from someone else, please be aware that there can be fake profiles trying to sell you a ticket. We recommend that you use your common sense to be sure that you buy an actual ticket from someone with a connection to DTU. A good idea might be to meet in person at DTU when you need to buy the ticket.

What if I want to cancel or change my ticket?

It is not possible to get a refund for your ticket, but you can give or sell it to another DTU employee or student. It is however not permitted to sell the ticket at a price higher than the one paid. If you are caught selling your ticket for a profit, the ticket will be void.

We do not mediate resale, but you are welcome to make a post in the Facebook event for DTU Commemoration 2025.

IMPORTANT: Please change the name and contact details on the ticket if you transfer it to someone else, so that the new owner can receive the ticket and practical info directly:

  • Party tickets: You can change your ticket yourself via the link in your order confirmation.
  • Dinner and party tickets: You can change your ticket yourself via the link in your order confirmation. Please note that it is not possible to change seating.

The deadline for changing tickets is 2 May at 12.00 noon. After this, you can still transfer your ticket to someone else, who can then only use the ticket with your name on it. Please forward both the ticket and practical information that you have received to the new owner.

Presentation of tickets

Tickets will be scanned and the unique QR code on each ticket can only be scanned once.

Guests with party tickets can enter at the Oticon Hall or at entrance 101B from 22.00.

 

What is the Academic Ceremony?

The Academic Ceremony is the part of the DTU Commemoration where we celebrates the past year’s academic achievements, the innovative engineers of the future, and the employees who help shape them. Furthermore, we pay tribute to our unique partners, whose support for the University is invaluable.

How do I participate in the Academic Ceremony?

The Academic Ceremony will take place from 17.00-18.30. All are welcome to participate, but there is a limited number of seats and seat reservation is not possible. If you wish to participate in the Academic Ceremony, you will have to be seated in the hall before by 16.45. The doors will open at 16.15 and close at 16.45.

The Academic Ceremony will be live streamed in Danish as well as in an interpreted English version.

What is the programme for the Academic Ceremony?

  • Speeches by DTU President Anders Bjarklev and President of Polyteknisk Forening
  • Award ceremony
  • Scientific Commemorative Lecture

What if you do not understand Danish?

The Academic Ceremony will be simultaneously interpreted into English in headphones.

Where will the dinner be held?

Because there are many participants, dinner will be served at several different places in building 101.

All registered persons will be notified about location as well as the possibility to select a menu on beforehand.

Where will we be seated at the dinner?

Employees will be seated with colleagues from the same department. All registered persons will be notified about location as well as the possibility to select a menu on beforehand.

Students choose seating as part of the ticket sale.

It is not possible to change seating.

Seating is shown on tickets.

When can you go to your table?

You can go to your table and be seated from 18.45. Dinner is served from 19.30.

What about the menu?

The menu will be announced later.

What about drinks for the dinner?

There will be water as well as white and red wine on the tables at the dinner (1/2 bottle of wine in total per person is calculated). In addition, drinks can be purchased at the bar.

Where does the party take place?

After the dinner, the party will take place at the following venues:

  • Sports Hall
  • Oticon Hall
  • S-Huset
  • Glass Hall

Free earplugs are provided in the bars.

There will be a free staffed cloakroom at the sports hall.

Late night snacks can be bought from 22.00 at Studentertorvet and Oticon.

If you need some peace during the party, you can visit "Calm & Relax" (alcohol-free area), which opens at 23.00 in the restaurant area of the Faculty Club.

Will the party be live streamed?

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to follow the party via live streaming.

Is it allowed to bring your own beverages?

You can buy beverages during the party. It is not allowed to bring your own.

When does the party end?

You can party until the party closes at 05.00.

 

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the DTU Commemoration is formal attire e.g. suit, dress, nice pants or skirt.

What if I am bad at dancing Les Lanciers?

There will be Les Lanciers lessons in the week leading up to the Commemoration:

Everyone is welcome to participate in the dancing lessons. Registration is not required.

Can I share my celebration on social media?

Yes, you can follow the event on Facebook.

Where can I find forgotten items?

Forgotten items can be picked up in S-Huset in building 101 after the Commemoration (from Monday 5 May).
